Lockdown

 "Ehh" Why do we have to go to your mountain biking meeting.I said. Ba ding went mums phone.The message was from dad.Grab some milk & bread covid case in auckland.So mum went to the supermarket and grabbed not just milk & bread she grabbed lots of things.Then off we went to GisInt. When we got there we were so early so we just sat in the car and waited.Finally Mum could go into the metting. Me and my brother just sat in the car and played games.

When Mum came back we got the bad news.The bad news was it was going to be level 4 lockdown.That meant learning online and a whole lot of fun.The first day of lockdown we had to dock our early's at home.The next day we did the same thing docking.My first creation I did was make what I call mood swings and this is me halfway there.

This is it when it was done.

And that was the start of lockdown.

Olympics

"Woohoo the olympics are on."I shouted.I had been waiting for ages. An idea sparked into my head like I had been shocked. Record everything, because school was today!Suddenly I sprinted so fast air was blowing in my face. 

When I got to school we were doing a olympic booklet. I knew because it was written on the task tracker. The olympic booklet had about 19 activities.My first one was questions about the whole olympics.Here are two of the questions.What is the olympic motto?Who was the famous NZ runner who won a gold medal in 1964?

It was the end of my sisters friends birthday and we got to play on the best playground ever.

First thing I did was go on the flying fox. I even standed up going down. When I hit the end and swung back I nearly feel off.Next down the huge slide. I first had to climb up lots of stairs.Finally I got there but still had to wait because people were already going down.When I went down I nearly wanted to scream it was so fast.

Lastly I went on the swings. When I started it was only about 10 swings then I was really high.Then I heard the breaking news that I had to go home. I was so sad about that but it was still the best playground iv'e ever been on.

This slide is about our week 7 and all the days a in it.  Week 7 was the best week yet we got to do lots of fun stuff.When the year sixes were away we had lots of room on the mat and when we played inilation there were lots of balls to use.

The big earthquake

Earthquake

It was thursday night my room was dark and my bed was shaking, when would it stop.  After that I couldn't get back to sleep because I was thinking about what the rumble was as well as being scared.  In the morning I got ready to go to school wondering how many people would be there. Actually there were only 6 people away.

It was time to announce the house captains I was so nervous to hear the house captains . But right before we were going to watch it Koka Rozie got a civil defence warning about the earthquake. So she went to Koka Nolian to check. When she came back and asked us to line up outside in 2 lines. When she said that I think everyone got a little scared.  We just went to the poles and had a talk about the earthquake and what we would do.

We went back to class after and did the house captains. Some people got picked up until only 16 people were left.  It was fun with only 16 people because we got to play lots.  In the time as well I finished my digital art. We got to play new games I have never played before. We got to swim in Nga Ngaru's swim time. 

It was a good day even with all the drama. I finally got picked up at the end of the day. We went to cricket training.  It was safe at cricket.  At home I wasn't scared any more.

Back at school

Yay I'm in moana learning hub this year.  I have all my friends in my class as well. First day was super fun, we got to play a game and know each other. In week 2 , were walking our pepeha. First we walked to Hamanatua.  The day after we walked up Maungaroa, it was a tough walk. Yay, first assembly of the year. 

Who do you think will get the certificate? Its Dune and Neko. Kai pai.  Assembly was long but I did get a shine card at least. Finally it was brain break. It was weird sitting somewhere else on the deck. Wow how come we do art first in the year?  I think it's time to get started on work.  Art was fun, we did a piece called mandala. 

Lets  get up to where we are now. I've finished all my art and learnt lots and got

 buzz groups. We went to the to Te poho o rawiri to finish our pepeha walk and learn stories that Aunty Buba said and that's all from me.
